There’s this town called Clydebank. Way back in time, it was always associated with shipbuilding. Later, it was a test area for the kind of economic stupidity that only governments can practise leaving little more than the dark shadow of bleak despair. But all is not lost for Clydebank for this once great has now seen the bright light of hope brought to them by The Viragoes.
You can hear it in their songs. Burning with emotional intensity and seasoned with that bone dry humour that only seems to exist in the west of Scotland, their message comes across loud and clear. Sensitive ballads that touch your heart and mixed with anthems that make you want to sing your heart out. And this is a band that sings their heart out every time they play.
There are five of them – Louise, LeeAnn, Craig, Ally and Kevin – and they are going to make their mark.
